Hi my name is Kelsey Brown and I am the owner and photographer for Lumos Vitae (or Lumos for short) Photography!

My love of photography started when I received my first camera from my grandfather. The inspiration for the name came from my love of Harry Potter...Yes...Harry Potter. "Lumos" is a spell that is used throughout the story to conjure light. "Vitae", while not Harry Potter related, means life. My goal as a photographer is to capture the light perfectly so it breathes life into your special moments.

Whether it is engagement photos, wedding photos, birthday parties or family photos, my goal is to capture the raw emotion of the day. While posed pictures are nice, I believe the real skill of a photographer is in their ability to capture things as they are happening. This is no easy task, but this thrill is why I love photography.

My business is founded on the principal that I am here to capture those magical moments, not dig deep into your pockets. Prices range from $300 for a family session to $600 for a wedding day (prices subject to change if large amounts of travel is necessary). Other pricing will be discussed based on the event, timing and travel. You will have full rights to your pictures and all of them will be given to you on a jump drive. Since I am all about capturing things as they are, there is no editing involved. I crop the pictures to clean up the spacing and can adjust them from color to black and white, but that's it.

While photography is not my full time job, it is my full time passion and it would be an honor to be a part of your special day.
