Dance Conditioning: Modern Technique Basics
This hour-long class focuses on fitness and form, introducing basic techniques of modern dance (drawn from Horton, Skinner, contemporary fusion, plus some ballet and yoga fundamentals) while cultivating an awareness of alignment and proper form. While participants will be assisted in finding modifications to work with their own bodies and abilities, the class requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Improvisation and Authentic Movement
How do you make something out of nothing, create without planning, dance without doubt? This mindfulness-based course leads participants to cultivate attention to their bodies’ power and potential, and find untapped sources of movement inspiration.

Intro to Choreography: learning and making dances!
This hour-long class introduces methods and approaches for learning combinations as well as crafting your own choreography. Participants will work to find their own unique style, expand their range, and develop stronger awareness of their own movements. While participants will be assisted in finding modifications to work with their own bodies and abilities, a portion of the class requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Norah Egrets is a graduate of Black Cherry Burlesque’s “Burlesque For The Soul” program. Before her burlesque debut, Norah performed, choreographed, and taught as a professional modern dancer for 15 years. She has extensive training and experience in aerial dance (single-point trapeze, fabric sling, lyra), Compositional Improvisation, and Skinner Releasing Technique
